Writers’ Conferences

I have been associated with the Willamette Writers Conference for the past decade. Some of my positions on the conference committee included: Program Chair, Lit Agents and Editors Chair, Co-Chair and Film Chair.

I landed my first literary agent at the Willamette Writers conference and plan to sell my latest spec script at this year’s conference.

And why not? Somebody has to do it. Might as well be me.

It happens all the time, by the way. Click on their logo to read several success stories. Writing conferences rock because you gain access to agents, editors, managers and producers who otherwise would not consider unsolicited (or unagented) material.

It helps to have a strategy when walking into a writers’ conference for the first time. In the months ahead, I will provide suggestions to help you make the most of your conference experience.
